On Nov. 23, 2008, the First China-South Asia Academic Forum and  Seminar for Celebrating the 110th Birth Anniversary of Tan Yunshan and Visca-Bharata was successfully held at Beijing Foreign Studies University. This international conference was co-sponsored by Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), School of Asian and African Studies and National Research Centre of Overseas Sinology of Beijing Foreign Studies University, Peking University and Shenzhen University.
