Prof. Yu Longyu Attended the 2nd Academic Summit on China-India Cooperation

The second Academic Summit on China-India Cooperation with the theme of “Urban Restructuring and Development: Comparison between Shanghai, Mumbai and Hongkong was held in Shanghai on Sept. 24-25, 2012. Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Hongkong Baptist University and China India Fortune Foundation co-sponsored this summit. About 100 Scholars from different countries, like China, Indian, UK, attended the summit and contributed high-level academic papers.
Prof. Longyu, Director of Centre for Indian Studies, Shenzhen University was invited to be as one of the Chairperson of a session of Question and Discussion and delivered a keynote speech, “Shanghai, Mumbai and Hongkong Undertake the Historical Mission of Leading the Transformational Development”. His speech was very successful and well received by the participants. In addition, Prof. Zuo Xuejin (Director of Institute of Economics, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences) and Prof. Athar Hussain (Director of Asia Research Centre, LSE) also delivered keynote speeches.
