Prof. Yu Longyu, director of Centre for Indian Studies, Shenzhen University was invited to attend the 10th Wuyue Buddist Conference in Hangzhou on Oct. 19-22, 2012. The conference was co-hosted by Hangzhou Religious Studies Association and the Academy of the History of Sino-foreign Relation and organized by Hangzhou Buddhist Academy. The conference received 112 papers from schalors at home and abroad.

More than 300 domestic and foreign schalors, eminent monks and disciples attended its Opening Ceremony on Oct. 20, 2012. Guangquan, the President of Hangzhou Buddhist Academy and Abbot of Hangzhou Lingyin Buddhist Temple, and Mr. Geng Sheng, the President of the Academy of the History of Sino-foreign Relation gave speeches on the Opening Ceremony.

Prof. Yu, as one of the main speakers, delievered a speech on the conference with the topic of "Wen Xin Diao Long and Sino-Indian Cultural Exchange" which had been well received by the audiences. Besides Prof. Yu, Prof. You Jianxi from the Arts College of Shenzhen University also attended this conference.
