On Dec. 29, 2009, two doctoral Candidates, Mr. Xu Qixuan, from the Department of East Asian Language and Culture of the University of Columbia USA, along with Miss Zhong Yueni, from the University of California USA, visited the Centre.

 On Nov. 1, 2009, Calcutta Dr. Soumyendranath Sikdar, an economic professor from Indian Institute of Management, as the second ICCR Chair Professor, visited SZU.

 On Oct. 28, 2009, Dr. S. Jaishankar, the Indian Ambassador to China, visited SZU.

 On May 15, 2009, Mr. M. A. Baby, Education and Culture Ministry of Kerala State, India, along with his delegation, visited SZU.

 In the evening of April 25, 2009, a group of Indian dancers, sponsored by ICCR, performed Bangalore dance at SZU.

 On Jan. 9, 2009, on the eve of Vishwa Hindi Diwas, Mr. Gautam Bambawale, Consulate General of India to Guangzhou, presented Hindi books to SZU.
