On Oct. 26, 2010, Dr. Shubhra Thripathi, Professor of English Government Motilal Vigyan Mahavidhyalaya, Bhopal, as the third ICCR Chair Professor, visited SZU.

 On Oct. 25-27,2010，Dr. Karan Singh, Chairman of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations(ICCR), visited SZU and delivered a gracious speech on India-China Bilateral Relation,Cultural Linkages and Cooperation in the Field of Education. SZU conferred Honorary Professorship on Dr.Karan Singh.

 On May 14, 2010, Mr. Indra Mani Pandey, the Consulate General of the India to Guangzhou , along with the vice consul general, visited SZU.

 On Jan. 15, 2010, a group of six senior cross-party politicians, headed by Mr. Rao Inderjit Singh, the senior leader of the Indian Major Party and the Chairman of the India-China Councilman Forum, visited SZU. The group was accompanied by Satish Kumar, from the International Department a Bureau of Indian, and also the chief of the department of Nepal, and the second secretary , Indian Chinese Embassy to China.

 On Jan. 7, 2010, SZU respectively conferred Mr. Michel Postel, the famous French scholar, and Mrs. Zhu Xintian as the Honorary Professor and Distinguished Professor. On the same day, Prof. Zhu Xintian delivered two lectures at SZU, The Queen’s Stepwell of India and The Wedding of the Indian.
